HeavenHR offers a cloud-based HR software to its customers. Our goal is to help companies save time and focus on what they’re really good at. From onboarding to payroll, we connect all separate HR processes into a single and easy-to-use platform.

We’re looking for a Senior Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer (m/f/x) to join us as soon as possible. The position is based in our office in Berlin’s trendy Bergmannkiez in Kreuzberg. Please note that this is a full-time position.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Owning our QA efforts: developing metrics to track quality and making sure we improve on these metrics
  • Working with PMs and team leads to define development processes that ensure quality
  • Writing and improving automated tests
  • Wherever needed, testing the product manually

What you’ll bring along:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or relevant industry experience
  • 3+ years of experience as a developer or QA Engineer
  • Experience writing test plans and test automation
  • Experience working in an agile environment
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience working with Selenium
  • Experience working closely with development and business teams
  • Creativity and initiative to improve product test coverage and effectiveness
  • Fluency in English
  • Willingness to relocate to Berlin (if applicable)

Your playing field at Gini

  • Your mission is to lead, mentor, and ensure quality in the backend team
  • You will be responsible for evolving our existing architecture depending on company needs and develop, maintain, and operate new and existing services
  • You will conduct code reviews and put your expertise to practice in our teams
  • You will have a holistic overview of the product and ensure new technologies are evaluated and tracked

Your profile

  • You have 5+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and operating Backend systems.
  • You have good knowledge of Java 8+ and the JVM. Python, Go, and Scala proficiency is a plus
  • You have a strong understanding of relational databases and architecture design
  • You have experience in running code in production. You build it, you run it
  • You have already successfully proved that you are the perfect person to guide, mentor, and develop a team

What you will be doing

Our modern tech stack includes Python, Django, PostgreSQL, React & AWS with the front-end in JavaScript, Bootstrap, HTML5, & CSS/LESS. We use GitHub, Jira and Slack for release management, issue management and collaboration. You will be part of our small software development team. You will collaborate with product management and senior management in order to successfully clarify specification and prioritize features.

We are looking for a python backend developer to help us with:

  • moving the back-end from monolithic to a service based architecture
